Light was actually an idiot Think about it. He got hold of a notebook that kills people via any reasonable means/heart attack. It was the perfect weapon because it should have been untraceable. He could have been anywhere in the world as far as L was concerned, yet within 7 episodes he manages to get himself suspected of being Kira and has wiretaps + cameras in his house. Giving away the possibility of Kira being a student and reacting to classified police information in a way that lead L to suspect Kira had ties to police (could he not have waited a week before upping the ante on his kills?) were two of the biggest blunders early on. I get that without any of this there would be no anime to watch. I'm just saying that if this had happened in the real word we'd have to think that Light was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot...
