I haven't played OG DS2 yet (Might start tonight on PS3, actually) but Scholars is definitely not that bad at all. Hope u enjoy tho! :)
Also yeah, Dark Souls III has been quite underwhelming honestly. Will have to play DS2 to understand the full context, maybe I'll like it more that way.
I'm kind of just waiting on a good sale to get original DS2, since I only have Scholar's edition on Family share. But even on Scholar's, even if kinda weird and clunky, I didn't dislike it from the few hours I put on it. I'll have to wait to see.
saw ur review reply on ds2 and wanted to say this ds2 is not bad at all as a standalone game but definitely the weakest fromsoft title. it still shines in a lot of aspects and i actually do prefer it over 3. ive done all bosses on 2 and 3 + dlc and ill say that you'll get a lot more content in 2 rather than 3. 3 is definitely not a bad game but it's very disappointing and doesn't make sense context wise when you haven't beat 2. of course, you don't need to listen to anything that anyone says but believe me when i say that going from number order in about any game franchise is always the most enjoyable way. hell, you might even love ds2. even if you play 3 first, remember to always check 2 out. it's really good and i wouldnt wish anyone to miss out on it
